About
Our egg sharing programme can help women who are unable to produce their own eggs and conventional treatment is not an option. Although we have the largest egg donation programme in the UK, many couples rely on other women to donate their eggs and are waiting for their chance to have a child.
If you're receiving standard IVF treatment and wish to share your eggs with another woman who can't use her own eggs, you won't be charged for your own standard IVF treatment, apart from the HFEA licence fee.
The recipient of your egg will be told non-identifying information about you such as height and ethnicity.
They won't be told your name at any point.
Since 2005, children born as a result of egg or sperm donation have the right to access identifiable information about their donor once they reach 18 years of age. Sharers have no legal rights to children born as a result of their donated eggs.
