What is neuropsychology?

Neuropsychology is a branch of clinical psychology that aims to identify and understand the changes in thinking and behaviour that can result from neurological conditions.

Our experienced neuropsychologists provide personalised care to help you and your family or carers to gain awareness of these changes, understand them and find useful ways to manage them.

We treat patients with a variety of neurological conditions — from traumatic brain injuries, brain tumours and strokes to multiple sclerosis and dementia. At The Portland Hospital, our paediatric neuropsychologists specialise in assessing and treating children with emotional, social or behavioural problems associated with conditions including brain injuries, autism spectrum disorders and developmental delay.

Our team approach

At HCA Healthcare UK we offer neuropsychology services to support a range of medical specialties including brain injuries and neurological rehabilitation.

We have neuropsychologists who work with therapists and nurses to assist with understanding behavioural and emotional changes, cognitive development and support in interpreting changes in brain function.
