Dr. Victoria Kunene, a seasoned Consultant Medical Oncologist who sees private patients at The Harborne Hospital. Her medical journey commenced with a degree from the University of Natal, South Africa, in 1998, followed by her relocation to the UK. Completing her Medical Oncology Specialist Registrar training in the West Midlands in 2012, she ascended to her current consultant role the same year.

Dr. Kunene's expertise lies in treating a spectrum of cancers, encompassing stomach, esophageal, pancreatic, biliary tract, colorectal, and cancers of unknown primary, across all disease stages. Serving as a Principal Investigator in multiple clinical trials, she contributes significantly to the advancement of medical understanding and treatment modalities.

Previously, Dr. Kunene chaired the West Midlands Chemotherapy Expert Advisory Group and served as the Chemotherapy Clinical Service Lead (CSL) at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. In these capacities, she played a pivotal role in shaping treatment pathways and guidelines concerning chemotherapy services. Presently, she continues her duties as Chemotherapy CSL at Walsall Manor Hospital.

Furthermore, Dr. Kunene is a valued member of the West Midlands Molecular Genomic Tumour Advisory Board, actively participating in various clinical multidisciplinary teams. Her passion for education is palpable through her dedicated involvement in teaching activities, underscoring her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
