About
Mr. Ross Elledge serves as a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, whos subspecialty interests lie in skin cancer and temporomandibular disorders. Additionally, he demonstrates a keen interest in medical education, holding the title of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham.
Having earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Malta in 2003, Mr. Elledge garnered the highest mark in his year. He initially practiced in the state health service in Malta before transitioning to the UK, where he gained experience in Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. He proceeded to obtain Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow before pursuing an accelerated medical degree at the University of Birmingham, where he graduated top of his class in 2010. His academic achievements were further recognized with the award of the Sir Arthur Thomson Gold Medal and the Chancellor's Prize.
Mr. Elledge completed his core surgical training in Plastic Surgery across the West Midlands, achieving Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012. Subsequently, he underwent higher training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, followed by sub-specialty Fellowships in Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and the Management of Skin Cancer. He actively contributes to the skin cancer Multi-disciplinary Team (LSMDT) at Solihull Hospital. Notably, Mr. Elledge is among a select group of surgeons in the United Kingdom trained to perform total alloplastic replacement of the temporomandibular joint.
Currently, Mr. Elledge serves as an Associate Editor for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and fulfills the role of Education Lead for higher trainees in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the West Midlands.
