Ravinder Atkar

Dr Ravinder Atkar is a Consultant Dermatologist who manages a broad spectrum of skin conditions in both adults and children. Her NHS practice is based at Barts Health NHS Trust. She completed her medical degree ranking in the top 5% of her cohort and was awarded First Class Honours for her BSc. She subsequently undertook specialist dermatology training at Cambridge University Hospitals and completed an observership in paediatric dermatology at Stanford University Hospitals in San Francisco.

Dr Atkar is involved in clinical research and has received three national awards. She has authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and co-authored national guidelines for the management of vitiligo. She has contributed to undergraduate medical education at the University of Cambridge and is involved in ongoing medical teaching. She also serves as a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation.

Her clinical practice includes the assessment and management of inflammatory and chronic skin conditions such as eczema, acne, rosacea and psoriasis, as well as mole assessment and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. She performs skin surgical procedures and provides dermatological consultation for a range of medical skin concerns.
