About
Professor Was Mansoor has been practising since 1999. After publishing his PhD on CAR T-cell immune therapies directed against oesophago-gastric cancers, he continued to pursue his interest in oesophagogastric cancers and now heads the oesophago-gastric department, providing a specialized service to patients with access to many cutting-edge trials. Professor Mansoor also leads the Systemic Therapy Research group focused on developing cutting-edge chemotherapy-based clinical trials. He is the research lead for the Greater Manchester Upper GI pathway board and sits on many national and international committees, contributing to upper GI cancer policy. His expertise includes oesophageal cancer, oesophagogastric cancer, stomach cancer, gastric cancer, neuroendocrine cancer, adrenal cancer, and colorectal cancer. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in these areas.
