About
Professor Stergios Doumouchtsis is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and an RCOG accredited subspecialist in Urogynaecology. Professor Doumouchtsis specialises in urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, childbirth trauma, overactive bladder, and cystitis. He is the Clinical Lead at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Professor Doumouchtsis completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as his subspecialty training in Urogynaecology at the London Deanery. Upon completion of his training, he was awarded a scholarship from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and went on to undertake pelvic floor research, as a visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan.
Stergios has authored numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters, and edited or co-edited 3 specialist books including the Oxford Textbook of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He also holds academic positions at 4 medical schools. He is a Honorary Reader in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St George's University of London, a Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ross University, School of Medicine, an Associate Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Americal University of the Caribbean. School of Medicine and a Visiting Professor at the University of Athens, School of Medicine.
He is the founder and Lead of CHORUS, of An International Collaboration for Harmonising Outcomes, Research and Standards in Urogynaecology and Women’s Health.
