About
Professor Jeremy Sanderson is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital and a reader in Gastroenterology at the Nutritional Sciences Division King's College London. He graduated from Charing Cross Hospital and trained in London and Australia.
Professor Sanderson sees patients with all general gastrointestinal conditions. He is particularly interested in inflammatory bowel disease - Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome. Professor Sanderson has extensive experience in endoscopic procedures (colonoscopy, upper Gi endoscopy). Professor Sanderson has a keen interest in clinical research with focus on genetics, microbiology and immunology of Crohn's disease and individualised medicine. He has published a number of peer-reviewed papers and lectures regularly at national and international conferences. Professor Sanderson was secretary of the British Society of Gastroenterology from 2001 to 2005.
