Professor Daniel Sifrim attended Buenos Aires University, Argentina, where he completed his medical training. He then specialized in gastrointestinal motility in Belgium, where he obtained a PhD degree. Prof Sifrim developed his clinical research and academic career in Belgium before being appointed Professor of Gastrointestinal Physiology. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology, neurogastroenterology, oesophageal disorders, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, and functional GI disorders.
