Mr S. Tawqeer Rashid is a highly regarded Consultant Vascular Surgeon with expertise in the treatment of varicose veins, diabetic foot disease, and aneurysms. He is particularly skilled in performing angioplasty, stenting, and minimally invasive vascular procedures.
Mr Rashid graduated from Cambridge University and completed his Basic Surgical Training at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London, rotating through Hammersmith Hospitals. He went on to earn a PhD from University College London (UCL), then returned to Yorkshire for Higher Surgical Training, during which he became the UK’s first National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Lecturer in Vascular Surgery. He further advanced his expertise with a fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, focusing on complex endovascular techniques and limb salvage in diabetic foot disease.
Currently, Mr Rashid is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, actively researching wound healing in diabetic foot disease and stem cell therapies. He has published extensively and presented his work on varicose vein treatment and aortic aneurysms at national and international conferences.
