Sunil K Bhudia is a distinguished consultant cardiac surgeon who began his academic journey at University College London (UCL), where he qualified in pharmacology with basic medical science in 1994. He continued his medical training at UCL, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees in 1996. Dr. Bhudia began specializing in cardiothoracic surgery in 2001 and had the opportunity to go to the Cleveland Foundation in Ohio, USA, as a research fellow in cardiothoracic surgery. During his time there, he undertook research towards his thesis and MD.In 2004, Dr. Bhudia returned to the UK as a specialist registrar and became a consultant in cardiac surgery at University Coventry and Warwickshire in 2009. He joined the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in 2016, where he has been working at Harefield as a consultant cardiac surgeon and later became head of the department.
