Mr. Rupesh I Bhatt is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He was educated at King Edward's School in Edgbaston, before earning his master's degree from Cambridge University. His training took place in Cambridge, London, and Birmingham. Mr. Bhatt completed his senior training in uro-oncology at The Christie Hospital in Manchester and also pursued a visiting fellowship in laparoscopic uro-oncology in Melbourne, Australia. In 2006, he was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
An active researcher, Mr. Bhatt holds a doctorate in prostate cancer stem cells and has received numerous research grants and awards. He has authored many publications and regularly presents his research at both national and international conferences.
Mr. Bhatt specializes in all areas of uro-oncology and laparoscopic urology. He treats patients with a wide variety of urological conditions, offering procedures such as vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, circumcision, cyst removal, hydrocele surgery, prostate surgery, testicular implants, cystoscopy, and bladder lesion removal.
Mr. Bhatt places great importance on effective communication with his patients and is committed to supporting them through every stage of their treatment and recovery. He is widely regarded as one of the UK's leading kidney surgeons, with his work featured in the BBC series *Surgeons on the Edge: Last Chance Saloon*.
