Mr Robert Lee is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon, practising at The Wellington Hospital's prestigious Spinal Unit. He specialises in treating complex cases referred from various centres in the UK, including adult degenerative disease, deformity, sacroiliac joint fusion, revision cases, infection, tumour, and trauma work. He is particularly skilled in minimally invasive posterior and anterior fusions and decompressions, emphasizing preservation of the paraspinal musculature for quick rehabilitation.
Mr Lee trained in Vancouver, Canada, and has advanced his expertise in computer-navigated spine surgery, using O-arm and stealth navigation. He has conducted over a thousand successful surgeries using this innovative technology.
Aside from his clinical practice, Mr Lee is a sought-after speaker at international and national conferences, and regularly participates as faculty in courses that teach minimally invasive techniques. He has published multiple research papers and is particularly interested in studying the outcomes after minimally invasive surgery, adult deformity correction, and computer-navigated spinal surgery. Mr Lee is a fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society and the National Lead of the British Spine Registry.
