About
Mr Patki is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and The Clinical Lead in Urology at St. Barts and The Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust as well as a Specialist Renal Cancer Surgeon at The Royal Free Renal Cancer Centre.
After gaining his primary medical qualification, Mr Patki completed higher surgical training in General Surgery and was subsequently awarded a Gold Medal for his Masters of Surgery degree. He undertook specialist training in Urology leading to his Diploma of the National Board in Genitourinary Surgery. After much success in competitive national training at The London Deanery, Mr Patki enrolled on training on the North Thames Rotation which culminated in a Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons.
His innovative research has led to numerous groundbreaking discoveries and his work in fertility in spinal cord injury patients led to a successful vibro-ejaculation service for spinal injury patients. Furthermore, he has presented and published many scientific papers, reviews, letters and book chapters on a variety of urological conditions.
Mr Patki specialises in the care of a wide spectrum of general urological conditions such as urological stone disease, overactive bladder, prostate enlargement, incontinence and neuro-urology. Additionally, his subspecialist interest is urologic oncology, specifically renal cancer. He has established the Robotic and Laparoscopic renal surgical service at St. Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospital and leads the renal cancer surgical pathway at The Royal London hospital. He is a specialist renal cancer surgeon at the Royal Free Renal Cancer Centre.
Mr Patki is a Faculty member of Chitra Sethia Laparoscopic and Robotic Training centre UCL and a founder member of Chelmsford Imperial Robotic Simulation (CIRS) Training Team involved in training in crisis management, communication and team working for robotic and laparoscopic surgical teams.
