Mr Jonathan Stevenson is an accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in Jonathan specialises in paediatric and adult bone and soft-tissue sarcomas, limb-salvage and complex arthroplasty, particularly prosthetic joint infection (PJI). Mr Stevenson earned his medical degree (MB ChB) from the University of Birmingham in 2005 and completed his specialist training at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.

In 2015, Mr Stevenson joined the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust and serves as a Senior Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Orthopaedics at Aston University. He has received several national research awards for his outstanding work in orthopaedic oncology from various reputable organisations such as the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society, and the Royal Society of Medicine. Furthermore, he was elected to the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) sarcoma clinical studies group in 2015 and clinical lead for the NCRI bone metastases project in 2023. Mr Stevenson was also the recipient of the British Orthopaedic Association International Travelling Fellowship Award in 2014, the European Travelling Fellowship Award from the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society in 2015 and this year completed the American-British-Canadian fellowship.

Apart from his clinical practice, Mr Stevenson actively presents his research at international conferences and serves as a reviewer for multiple journals. He has recently been awarded a multi-million pound National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) grant to lead the first clinical trial in surgically treated metastatic bone disease patients in the United Kingdom. He has published greater than 100 peer reviewed scientific articles with over 2000 citations and authored four book chapters and co-edited an orthopaedic basic sciences textbook. Due to his extensive experience, he is regularly invited to examine and lecture on FRCS (Tr & Orth) courses.
