About
Professor Lockley is a consultant medical oncologist specializing in ovarian cancer and ovarian germ cell tumours. She completed her undergraduate training at University College London and obtained her PhD from Queen Mary University of London. Professor Lockley leads a research group at Barts Cancer Institute, focusing on discovering new ways to treat ovarian cancer and strategies to overcome treatment resistance. She has received several personal fellowships from the Medical Research Council (MRC) and Cancer Research UK to support her research. In addition to her laboratory-based research program, she contributes to various clinical trials. Professor Lockley has a special interest in treating ovarian germ cell tumours and serves as Vice-Chair of the Malignant Germ Cell International Consortium (MaGIC).
