Dr Khawar Hussain is a paediatric and adult consultant dermatologist, at The Holly on the specialist register. He qualified from University College London Medical School and completed his dermatology specialist training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. Alongside his clinical training, he completed postgraduate academic, teaching, and finance and management degrees, supporting a holistic and well‑rounded approach to patient care.
Dr Hussain has published over sixty peer‑reviewed papers in high‑impact journals and has won numerous prizes and scholarships, including awards from Health Education England, the Royal Society of Medicine, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. He also received a PROUD award from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in recognition of his exceptional dedication and excellence in clinical practice. Dr Hussain was also selected as the United Kingdom’s entrant to the prestigious EuroDerm Excellence course for top-ranking dermatologists in Europe.
He serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and Senior Clinical Teacher at Imperial College London, where he has received commendations for his teaching. He is actively involved in national guideline committees and is the principal investigator for several research trials, contributing to advancing clinical practice and dermatological knowledge.
