Dr Katarzyna Malaczynska Rajpold is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at both Royal Brompton Hospital and Lister Hospital in Stevenage. She brings a wealth of experience in cardiac electrophysiology and implantable devices, specialising in treating complex heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and atrioventricular block. Her expertise includes advanced procedures such as catheter ablations and pacemaker and defibrillator implantations. After earning her medical degree and completing cardiology training in Poznan, Poland, Dr Katarzyna Malaczynska-Rajpold’s PhD research on three-dimensional reconstructions of post-infarction scars as a substrate for ventricular tachycardia ignited her passion for cardiac electrophysiology. She further honed her skills at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and has been instrumental in advancing patient care in this field. Dr Katarzyna Malaczynska-Rajpold holds full (Level 2) European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) certification in cardiac electrophysiology, underscoring her expertise and commitment to the highest standards of care in her field. Beyond her clinical work, Dr Katarzyna Malaczynska-Rajpold is actively involved in the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA). She is co-chairing the EHRA National Cardiac Societies (NCS) Committee. Previously, she chaired the EHRA Young EP Committee from 2020 to 2024 and served as a member of the EHRA Board during the same period, contributing significantly to the advancement of electrophysiology training and research initiatives across Europe.
