Dr Johannes Driessen is a London-based General Practitioner working across both NHS and private settings. He holds an NHS role as an Urgent Care GP at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and also practises privately with HCA Healthcare UK, providing comprehensive and responsive primary care.
He graduated MB BS from King’s College London in 2017. Alongside his medical training, he has pursued a strong academic interest in education and neuroscience, completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Education at University of Plymouth and a further Master’s in Neuroscience. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, reflecting his commitment to teaching and training within healthcare.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Driessen contributed to national research efforts as a sub-investigator in vaccine clinical trials and worked with a Covid Medicines Delivery Unit, supporting patients at higher risk of severe infection.
In addition to his medical career, he previously served as a warfare officer in the Royal Navy, bringing leadership, resilience and a disciplined approach to his clinical practice. He combines acute care expertise with a strong foundation in medical education and research.
