Mr Ismail Ughratdar is a distinguished Consultant Neurosurgeon currently practising in Birmingham at The Harborne Hospital.

A Yorkshire native, Mr Ughratdar earned his medical degree with honours from the prestigious University of St Andrews and the University of Manchester in 2004. He pursued an advanced surgical training path, specialising in neurosurgery at Nottingham, followed by subspecialty fellowship training at King’s College Hospital, London. He is now a fully certified, UK-board registered consultant neurosurgeon.

Mr Ughratdar’s neurosurgical expertise includes performing complex brain surgeries for brain tumours (including awake prcoedures), epilepsy surgery, and CSF procedures. A fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Mr Ughratdar has published extensively in his field and has led numerous training courses. His meticulous attention to detail has garnered the admiration of many satisfied patients, making him a leading figure in neurosurgery. He has extensively features in the media including as part of the BBC Surgeons at the Edge of Life Programme and Channel 5.
