About
Dr. Voi Shim Wong has over 20 years of experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist. He is based at Whittington Hospital, London.
Dr. Wong completed his initial medical training at the University of St. Andrews, graduating in 1987. Following this, he went on to complete his higher training in gastroenterology and hepatology across the UK, in Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge and Liverpool; giving him a broad range of experience and excellent mentorship early in his career.
Dr. Wong sees patients with the full range of general gastroenterology problems, with particular focus on dyspepsia, inflammatory bowel disease and liver diseases. He is additionally an expert in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy and PEG tube insertion), all of which he regularly undertakes. He is an accredited Bowel Cancer screening colonoscopist.
Dr Wong is dedicated to creating excellent outcomes for his patients, understanding that every patient has individual needs in their treatment and that every patient journey is different. He has a timely caring approach to managing his patients and liaises closely with the patient and general practitioner.
