Professor Vishal Madan is a Consultant Dermatologist, Laser and MOHS Surgeon with over 25 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex skin conditions. He sees patients privately at HCA UK at The Wilmslow Hospital. He holds specialist accreditation in dermatology in both the UK and abroad and is one of the few dermatologists on the GMC’s specialist register with dual country recognition and advanced fellowships in both laser dermatology and skin cancer surgery.

Professor Madan trained in medicine and dermatology in India before completing the prestigious Addenbrooke’s Cambridge Medical Rotation. He went on to obtain a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Dermatology from Manchester and pursued dedicated fellowships in laser dermatology at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery at the Welsh Institute of Dermatology in Cardiff. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2013 and has since become a highly regarded expert in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of acne, rosacea, alopecia, psoriasis, eczema, warts, skin cancer, pigmentation disorders, and birthmarks. He is particularly known for his skill in laser therapies, Mohs surgery for basal cell carcinomas, and cosmetic procedures such as chemical peels, dermal fillers and microneedling. Professor Madan also offers mole mapping, mole and skin tag removal, and comprehensive management of benign and malignant skin lesions. His practice integrates cutting-edge dermatological techniques with personalised care, making him a sought-after expert in both therapeutic and aesthetic skin care. As President of the British Medical Laser Association and former Secretary of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group, he plays a leading role in shaping standards in laser dermatology. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, a regular expert witness in dermatology legal cases, and a widely published author with over 130 peer-reviewed papers, 12 book chapters, and multiple textbooks to his name. 

Professor Madan is committed to education and global outreach, having directed laser training modules for postgraduate courses and participated in outreach initiatives such as the Skin Camp in rural India. He is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Urdu.
