Dr Suneil Aggarwal is a Consultant Cardiologist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, part of Barts Heart Centre in London, where he works within one of the UK’s leading structural and congenital heart programmes. His practice spans the full breadth of adult cardiology, with a particular concentration on complex catheter-based treatments for structural, congenital and coronary heart disease.
He qualified from University College London Medical School in 2002 and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2005. Following core medical training in Oxford, he undertook higher specialist training in cardiology across centres in India and London. Prior to his move to Barts, he held a senior leadership role in Liverpool, overseeing and expanding a regional structural heart intervention service.
His procedural expertise includes minimally invasive treatments for valve disease and congenital defects, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter mitral and tricuspid repair, and percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale.
Alongside his clinical commitments, Dr Aggarwal is actively engaged in national and international education. He contributes to conferences, supports specialist training initiatives and is dedicated to advancing standards in contemporary interventional cardiology.
