Saifee Mullamitha is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, where he is recognised for his expertise in gastrointestinal malignancies and complex cancer care. A graduate of University of Mumbai in 1995 with a MBBS, and later completed an MD focused on research within his specialist field. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, reflecting his longstanding commitment to clinical excellence.
Dr Mullamitha’s practice centres on the tailored treatment of both early-stage and advanced colorectal cancer, with particular expertise in managing cancers of unknown primary origin. He is actively involved in the development of innovative therapies and plays a leading role in clinical research. As principal investigator on numerous national and international studies, including serving as Chief Investigator for a UK immunotherapy trial in advanced colorectal cancer, he contributes to shaping future standards of care.
He also has a specialist interest in liver-directed therapies, including Selective Internal Radiotherapy (SIRT), integrating advanced treatment approaches into personalised care plans. Alongside his clinical and research responsibilities, he contributes to medical education as an examiner for South Manchester University Hospitals.
