About
Dr Ranju Dhawan is a dual speciality accredited Diagnostic Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Physician with extensive experience in both specialities. She brings her dual-speciality skills to niche expertise in hybrid imaging, notably musculoskeletal SPECT-CT and oncology PET-CT. Amongst her other organ interests are chest and endocrine imaging.
Dr Dhawan is the Clinical Lead for the nuclear medicine service of the wellington hospital at the Hybrid Imaging & Therapy Unit (HITU), which she established in 2009.
She trained in nuclear medicine at University College London & Royal Brompton Hospitals, and in Diagnostic Radiology at Kings College Hospital in London, with an oncology imaging fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospitals. She was appointed to St Mary’s Hospital, London as a Consultant in 2002 and continues to hold an honorary consultant affiliation with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London. She has been on faculty on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at London Teaching Hospitals, co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and lectures at national and international conferences.
