About
Dr Michael Fertleman studied preclinical medicine at Cambridge University and then completed a law degree. He took his clinical studies at Imperial College under a Harmsworth Scholarship and is now a Consultant in General Medicine and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation at St Mary's London.
Dr Fertleman is a Visiting Professor in the department of bioengineering at Imperial College London where he currently has five doctoral students
Dr Fertleman is the chairman of the medical admissions unit at the Wellington Hospital, which provides GPs with direct access to inpatient facilities for patients suffering from acute medical problems. He also specialises in perioperative care including pre-operative assessment, post-operative medical problems and rehabilitation.
