About

Joseph de Bono pursued his undergraduate studies at both Cambridge and Oxford Universities. He underwent specialized training in cardiology in Norwich and Cambridge, followed by research focused on the cardiovascular effects of exercise, culminating in a PhD. His contributions earned him the prestigious British Heart Rhythm Society Young Investigator Award. He served as a lecturer at St Hugh's College, Oxford, and furthered his expertise in electrophysiology through training in Oxford and a fellowship at the Heart Hospital in London.

In 2018, he was elected to the council of the British Heart Rhythm Society and also served as an examiner for the society. Previously, he contributed as a member of the program committee for the British Cardiac Society.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Joseph finds joy in rugby, having been a qualified referee in the past, as well as sailing and cherishing moments with his family.
