About
Dr Chan is a Consultant Neurologist who practices privately in London and Kent, as well as within the NHS. He sees patients at HCA UK at The Shard in London, and also offers virtual consultations. Dr Chan has expertise in managing neurological conditions such as headache, migraine, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, neuropathy, and Parkinson's disease. Additionally, he has a sub-speciality interest in cognitive disorders, regularly treating patients with dementia or other causes of cognitive impairment.
In 2015, Dr Chan established the Cognitive Neurology Service in Kent, providing advanced diagnostic services for patients with Young Onset Dementia and atypical forms of dementia. His efforts in creating and developing this service led to him being awarded a Clinical Excellence Award in 2018. Dr Chan is also a member of the Kent Young-Onset Dementia Network and has collaborated with the Alzheimer's Society and other local dementia charities.
Dr Chan graduated from Barts and The London Medical School in 2004, receiving prizes for his academic achievements, and honours for his sub-internship in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in America. He completed his General Medical Training in London and earned a distinction for his master's degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology at UCL, where he conducted scientific research on the neural mechanisms underlying memory and emotion.
Dr Chan underwent specialist neurology training at several esteemed institutions in Central London, including The Royal London Hospital, King's College Hospital, University College London Hospital, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square.
