About
Dr Fathima Mahomed is a Consultant General Paediatrician and Neonates Specialist with over 24 years of experience in her field. Following 10 years of training and experience as a Consultant for the NHS, Dr Mahomed is currently based The Portland Hospital in Central London and also devotes her time to an unpaid role as a Paediatrician for NHS 111.
From 2010-2016, Dr Mahomed held the role of Lead Pediatrician for Child Safeguarding. She has also been the Clinical Lead for General Paediatrics, a lecturer at Queen Mary's University of London and remains a Honorary Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Having worked in many multi-cultural and multi-ethical areas in both London and South Africa, Dr Mahomed has vast knowledge and extensive experience in the field of Paediatrics. Her specialist areas of interest include General Paediatrics, Paediatric Haematology, Paediatric Oncology, Paediatric Rheumatology, Ambulatory Paediatrics, Community Paediatrics, Neonatology as well as female (and male) genitourinary medicine.
