About
Dr. Farida Bano graduated in 1993 from the University of Karachi with a degree in Medicine. She is currently a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
With over 20 years of experience in Gynaecology, Dr. Bano has developed expertise in colposcopy, vaginal surgery, contraception, menopause/HRT, urogynaecology, and pelvic pain. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and an active member of both The British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and the British Menopause Society.
Dr. Bano underwent extensive training in this field, which sparked her passion for women’s health. She also enjoys teaching and serves as a supervisor for trainee doctors during their placements. Additionally, she is the Lead GP Trainer at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Dr. Bano has contributed to the field through her research, which she has published, and has presented her findings at medical conferences both nationally and internationally.
