About
Professor Elinor Sawyer is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specializing in breast cancer treatment. She completed her clinical oncology training at University College London, Royal Free, and St Thomas' Hospitals. She obtained her PhD in molecular genetics of cancer at the London Research Institute. In 2005, she was appointed as a Consultant Oncologist. Professor Sawyer is heavily involved in research, with her work published in several peer-reviewed journals. Her main research areas include genetic predisposition to breast cancer, particularly lobular breast cancer, pre-invasive cancer (DCIS and LCIS), and identification of biomarkers that predict the progression of early breast cancer. She specializes in chemotherapy and immunotherapy for breast cancer.
