About

Dr. Dan Ford is a Clinical Oncologist specializing in prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. He practices within the NHS at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, and also holds a general uro-oncology clinic at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. With a robust and bustling practice, Dr. Ford brings extensive experience to all facets of uro-oncology treatment and management.

Deeply committed to cancer research, Dr. Ford serves as the deputy clinical cancer lead for the West Midlands NIHR Clinical Research Network. In this capacity, he actively supports and promotes research endeavors throughout the region. Notably, he spearheads the local arm of the PACE trial, investigating profound hypofractionation techniques for localized prostate cancer. Additionally, he contributes to the advancement of SABR (stereotactic ablative radiotherapy), originally designed for brain and lung cancer but now applied to areas like metastatic prostate cancer. Dr. Ford's expertise encompasses the provision and assessment of all oncological treatments for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer, including hormonal therapies, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, MRLinac, SABR, and prostate brachytherapy.

Previously, Dr. Ford held the role of clinical lead for the Radiotherapy and Oncology departments at the hospital. During this tenure, he played a pivotal role in developing services within both departments while also providing guidance and management to his oncology consultant peers.
