Dr Bernadette Coker is a Senior Consultant with over 25 years of experience in treating patients with allergies, sleep respiratory and general medical problems. Dr Coker provides assessment and innovative treatments for chronic EBV infection and Long COVID syndrome, both a cause of chronic fatigue syndrome. She has developed a comprehensive sleep service for patients with sleep disorders, particularly obstructive sleep apnea. Dr Coker in addition also launched a modern allergy service with comprehensive testing and immunotherapy.

She is an accomplished medical teacher and trainer, establishing several national courses for doctors. Her research interests include sleep-related breathing disorders, periodic limb movement disorders, and non-invasive techniques to treat these conditions, allergy and asthma assessment and treatments including effective immunotherapy, and the wide spectrum of respiratory infections and lung cancer. More recently, she implemented research based innovative treatment for Long COVID patients. She has published several scientific articles and is regularly invited to lecture at national and international meetings.
