Dr Amit Bhan is a Consultant Cardiologist at Barts Heart Centre and an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Great Ormond St Hospital for Children. He qualified from St Barts and the Royal London Medical School (Queen Mary and Westfield University) and obtained his MD(Res) degree from Kings College London. He then undertook specialist registrar training in cardiology in hospitals in the South-East and London, and subspecialist congenital heart disease training at The Royal Brompton, Guy's and St Thomas' and Great Ormond St Hospitals. After completing his training Dr Bhan undertook a fellowship in Catheter Intervention for Structural and Congenital Heart Disease at Barts Heart Centre where he took up a consultant position in 2017.
Dr Amit Bhan is an expert in interventional cardiology and has a special interest in the treatment of congenital heart diseases.
Dr Bhan is actively involved in clinical research and has co-authored numerous publications in the field of interventional cardiology.
