Dr Bharati Vyawahare is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, based at Wythenshawe Hospital — a major teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Manchester. She completed her specialist training in Anaesthesia and a Fellowship in Pain Medicine in the North East of England.

Dr Vyawahare has a broad clinical practice encompassing musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome, and postsurgical neuropathic pain. Her subspecialty interest is in pelvic pain, in which she leads Create a new consultant profile the pelvic pain team across the Manchester University hospitals.

She manages a wide range of complex pelvic pain conditions in both female and male adult patients, including complications related to mesh implants, vulvodynia, pudendal neuropathy, endometriosis, bladder pain syndrome, rectal pain, penile and testicular pain, proctalgia, PGAD, and chronic prostatitis.

Dr Vyawahare is experienced in delivering a variety of interventional pain procedures, using both ultrasound and fluoroscopic (X-ray) guidance. In addition to her clinical role, Dr Vyawahare is actively engaged in medical education. She is an undergraduate examiner for the University of Manchester and serves as a Pain Medicine Educational Supervisor for specialty trainees in the North West region.

She contributes to national and international guidelines development through her roles on the Pelvic Pain Committee of the European Association of Urology and the British Pain Society’s Visceral Pain Committee.
