About
Mr. Benjamin Jones is a highly regarded Consultant Gynaecologist with a specialisation in Fertility. He holds positions at The Lister Fertility Clinic, The Lister Hospital, Hertility Health, Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, and West Middlesex University Hospital. His expertise covers various aspects of reproductive medicine and gynaecology, with a primary focus on fertility preservation and restoration.
Mr. Jones completed his medical degree at the University of Leeds in 2009. Following this, he underwent specialised training in obstetrics and gynaecology in North West London. He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015 and played a pivotal role as a founding member of the International Society of Uterine Transplantation (ISUTx) in 2016.
In 2019, Mr. Jones successfully completed his PhD, which centred on fertility preservation and restoration. His pioneering research in this field included investigations into social egg freezing and uterus transplantation.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jones has practised at renowned institutions such as Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea, Hammersmith, and St Mary's Hospitals. In his current clinical roles, he offers comprehensive care, including referrals for egg freezing, IVF care plans, management of conception challenges, and treatment of hormonal symptoms. He is also proficient in various surgical procedures, including hysteroscopic and laparoscopic gynaecological interventions, and specialises in the management of conditions such as endometrial polyps, fibroids, and ovarian cysts. He is dedicated to patient safety and even offers the option of outpatient hysteroscopy to minimise risks.
Passionate about research and committed to evidence-based medicine, Mr. Jones serves as the principal investigator for the Investigational Study Into Transplantation of the Uterus (INSITU) at Imperial College London. With over 80 peer-reviewed publications and international lectures on his research interests, he is recognised as a leading figure in his field. Additionally, he holds the role of Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, where he mentors and supervises PhD students, contributing to the advancement of reproductive science.
