Ankit Chawla

Dr Ankit Chawla focuses on preventive medicine and long term health optimisation, aiming to translate complex medical and scientific concepts into practical strategies that individuals can apply in everyday life. He graduated from Imperial College London and completed his General Practice training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. Over more than twelve years in clinical practice, he has developed extensive experience managing a wide spectrum of physical and psychological health conditions, including chronic disease.

In addition to his conventional medical training, Dr Chawla has undertaken further education with the Institute for Functional Medicine. This has enabled him to integrate general practice with a systems based approach that considers lifestyle, nutrition, metabolic health and early risk factors in the development of disease. His work combines elements of functional and precision medicine to design structured, individualised health plans focused on disease prevention and long term wellbeing.

His clinical interests include cardiometabolic risk reduction, metabolic health, gastrointestinal function, hormonal health in men and women, and strategies to improve energy levels and resilience. He supports patients with cardiovascular risk management, prevention and management of type 2 diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue, menopausal health concerns, and a broad range of general medical issues within primary care.

Dr Chawla also holds a Master’s degree in Bioengineering, reflecting his interest in the intersection of medicine, technology and innovation, and applies analytical and evidence based principles to the assessment and management of health and disease.
