Dr. Adnan Darr earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Birmingham and a Master’s degree in Medical Physics from the University of Surrey through the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM). He completed his medical training at the University of Manchester in 2009 and entered the West Midlands Higher Surgical Training Programme in 2015, specialising in otolaryngology. Following registrar training, he undertook an Advanced Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Fellowship at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, and obtained the European Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery Diploma from the University of Paris in 2023.
Appointed as a consultant at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire in October 2022, Dr. Darr manages a wide range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions. His sub-specialist focus is on rhinology and anterior skull base surgery, working collaboratively within a regional multidisciplinary team to manage complex cases.
Dr. Darr is actively involved in medical education, having published book chapters, taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education (PGCME). He serves as an honorary lecturer at the University of Birmingham, teaches at Warwick University, and directs cadaveric surgical training courses at the West Midlands Surgical Training Centre. His research has been recognised with national and international awards.
