Mr Faure Walker is a consultant urologist at the Prostate Centre at 18 Devonshire Street in the west end of London and at The Shard Outpatients. He has a general urological practice and expertise in managing urinary tract problems including difficulty voiding, overactive bladder, recurrent infections and incontinence in both men and women.
Mr Faure Walker’s specialist interest is in female, functional and neurological urology. This includes urinary problems in people with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and spinal cord injury, as well as urinary problems after prostate cancer treatment.
A consultant urologist at the St George's, Epsom & St Helier hospital group and an honorary senior lecturer at King's College London, Mr Faure Walker is also the principal investigator for the E.Mbrace UTI vaccine trial. He has written book chapters on neuro-urology and benign prostate enlargement, formulated the first guidelines on urinary problems associated with postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS), and published numerous articles. He is frequently invited to speak on specialist and general urology topics, both nationally and internationally.
Having worked as an accountant before studying medicine, Mr Faure Walker undertook surgical and urological specialist training in London before moving to Australia for a postgraduate fellowship in female, functional, and reconstructive urology at Concord Repatriation Hospital. As well as receiving awards from the Royal Society of Medicine, the British Association of Surgical Oncology and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, he has also served as an expedition medic and worked in Sierra Leone.
Mr Faure Walker belongs to the International Continence Society (ICS), the International Neuro-urology Society (INUS), and the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS).
