Mr Jean-Pierre Jeannon is a Consultant Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon based at London Bridge Hospital. He is highly experienced in all aspects of general head and neck surgery, including head and neck cancer, voice disorders, and thyroid issues. He is also an expert in performing Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) for the treatment of throat cancer.
Mr Jeannon holds an NHS Post at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London where he was the Clinical Director of Surgical Oncology in between 2018 and 2021. He’s been specialising in the surgery for advanced orbital malignancy for the past 10 years in collaboration with Moorfields Eye Hospital.
After graduating in Medicine from the University of Birmingham, Mr Jeannon began his basic surgical training in the West Midlands and underwent specialist training in Newcastle. He developed his skills further by completing a Fellowship in Canada at the University of Toronto. Upon moving back to the UK he was appointed as a Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital.
Mr Jeannon is an active member of the research community and has published extensively in his field. He is a principle investigator in several clinical research trials centred around immunotherapy and translational research for head and neck cancer treatment, and is regularly invited to present on these subjects at international conferences. He also actively engages in medical education, as a Member of the Court of Examiners for the Royal College of Surgeons and an Associate Professor of Head & Neck Surgery at Kings College London.
