Mr. Satyajit (Satya) Bhattacharya specializes in laparoscopic surgery and surgery of the gallbladder, bile duct, liver, and pancreas. He is also an expert in radiofrequency ablation and chemo-embolisation for liver tumours. Mr. Bhattacharya qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Mumbai in 1984, followed by a Master of Surgery in 1988. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1992, followed by an MPhil from London in 1995 and intercollegiate FRCS in 1998. He has over 50 publications in surgical journals and serves as a peer reviewer for four international surgical journals. He is also active in postgraduate teaching and is a Member of the Intercollegiate Examinations Faculty of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons. Mr. Bhattacharya has been listed in the Tatler Doctors Guide as one of Britain's ‘250 best consultants' and is the Serjeant Surgeon to the Royal Household.
