Mr Rashpal Bassi is an Orthopaedic Consultant who specialises in hand and wrist surgery. His NHS practice is based at Macclesfield Hospital.
Mr Bassi did his undergraduate training at Cambridge University and The Royal London Hospital Medical College. He did his specialist orthopaedic training in Liverpool. Mr Bassi completed upper limb and hand fellowships at two renowned centres; Wrightington Hospital and The Pulvertaft Hand Unit. He has been a consultant since 2009.
Mr Bassi has regularly published his research in Orthopaedic journals. He has also presented scientific papers at national and international meetings. Mr Bassi is a faculty member of the Upper Limb FRCS course in Wrightington.
Mr Bassi is very interested in all aspects of the quality of patient care. Having spent several years as a Clinical Governance Lead in Orthopaedics at Macclesfield Hospital, he has spent the last two years as Clinical Lead. This has enabled him to drive the quality of care agenda.
