CaRi-heart technology
Revolutionary new technology to assess the risk of a serious heart condition or heart attack – many years before anything happens.
Our vascular and endovascular service provides one of the most extensive private offerings in the UK specialising in the treatment of all vascular conditions.
Cardiaovascular surgery concentrates on heart problems only in the cardiovascular system, while cardiothoracic surgery focuses on a range of surgeries on the heart and lungs or thorax.
Initial investigations and cardiac tests would come under a cardiologist or interventional cardiologist. Following a diagnosis, and if more than medical management is required, your consultant may recommend an interventional cardiac procedure or heart surgery.
London Bridge Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic are all recognised as Centres of Excellence for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. For three consecutive years, our surgical outcomes for cardiac patients have been above the national average (99.2%, higher than the national average of 96.7%). Our survival rate for all operations has remained greater than 99% for the last nine years.1 This is a direct reflection of our dedicated consultants, cardiac nurses and the staff throughout our hospitals.
