Fit for fertility

Plan for your future, today

Many people don’t think about their fertility until they’re trying to conceive. Our Fit for Fertility health screening tests can help you plan for your future, today.

Designed to put you one step ahead when it comes to your fertility, these reproductive health screening tests offer people more time to explore various options and, ultimately, more choice. The earlier you start thinking about your fertility, the more chance you’ll have of success.

People choose to screen their fertility for several reasons: some might need help deciding when to start trying for a family, others might want peace of mind. Any problems that become apparent can often be resolved with simple interventions, and the sooner you have these, the better.

  • Many women want to delay pregnancy and have a baby at a time that’s right for them. Fertility screening checks your ovarian reserve (the number of eggs left in your ovaries) to help you plan. Techniques to preserve your long-term fertility, such as egg freezing , are more effective the earlier you start them.
  • While male fertility problems are often overlooked, they’re a factor in around a half of all couples struggling to conceive1. Interventions can be successful, but they take time to work. Checking your health early can help you to get ahead for when you’re ready to take that next step.

All our packages include an initial consultation and follow up with one of our specialist fertility consultants. They’ll ask you about your medical, family and lifestyle history.

As our main clinic is linked to our hospital network, all our procedures and treatments can be fully personalised and carried out on-site in our state-of-the-art facilities, using our in-house labs. It’s everything you need under one roof.

You’ll have the chance to ask any questions you may have about the process and your options. You’ll also be able to speak to a counsellor if you need help processing anything you’ve been told. All the relevant investigative tests will be carried out at our state-of-the-art facilities, with results processed at our on-site laboratories.

Check our patient price list for the current cost of our Fit for Fertility packages.

Both packages include:

  • Medical history: an overview of your medical, surgical and family history
  • Lifestyle advice: an assessment of any potentially beneficial changes
  • Body mass index (BMI): assessment and advice on impact on fertility
  • A written summary report of our findings

Our package for women also offers:

  • Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) blood test: a marker of your ovarian reserve
  • Antral follicle count (AFC): a scan to check the number of egg-producing follicles in your ovaries
  • Transvaginal scan: an ultrasound scan carried out through your vagina, to check for conditions affecting your womb, like endometriosis or fibroids

Our package for men also offers:

  • Semen analysis: an expert assessment to look at sperm number, movement and shape

Yes, you can. If you would like to assess your fertility with your partner, you can access a combination of tests tailored to your needs, whether that’s a male and female test, two male tests, or two female tests.

Patient stories

Cristina's IVF story

When Cristina was diagnosed with breast cancer, not only was she concerned about her own health, but she also didn't want the cancer treatment to stop her from becoming a mother. Thanks to the fertility experts at Lister Fertility Clinic, Cristina was able to undergo an egg collection before she started her radiation treatment.

Cristina was overjoyed to welcome her 'big, little miracle' - her wonderful daughter. This is Cristina's inspiring story.

Dr Salim is an exceptional fertility doctor. He has years of experience and he always treats you and your case as individual - he is by far not a one size fits all type of a doctor.
