The unit is lead by experienced intensive care doctors, who work closely with other consultants, specialist nurses and allied health professionals to ensure each child received the care and support they need.
The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at The Portland Hospital has 10-beds that provides level 3 intensive care.
This unit can care for children with brain, spinal and heart conditions as well as provide multi-organ support. The unit also has kidney, heart and respiratory replacement technology.
The nursing teams working with this unit are experienced in intensive care nursing and can support and guide parents during their child' stay.
