Vascular services at HCA UK

Led by internationally renowned consultants, the vascular and endovascular service at our HCA UK London Bridge Hospital provides one of the most extensive private offerings in the UK and specialises in the treatment of all vascular conditions.

With the highest quality intraoperative features including image manipulation and 3D guidance, the hybrid theatre at London Bridge Hospital allows our vascular surgeons to tackle ever more complex endovascular procedures in the private sector.  This includes branched and fenestrated endovascular aortic repair (BEVAR and FEVAR) – a significant step in the level of complexity of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair.

We are also proud of the surgical outcomes we achieve for our patients. For three consecutive years, our surgical outcomes have been above the national average. Our overall survival rate for all cardiac surgery between 2021-2023 was 99%. 99.8% for the most recent year 2022/2023. This is a direct reflection of our dedicated complex vascular team at London Bridge Hospital who include leaders from London’s NHS teaching hospitals and highest volume vascular centres in the UK. Many of whom proctor internationally in advanced endovascular techniques and aortic infections.

In-depth knowledge of complex vascular disease

Patients are supported by our sub-specialised team of consultant cardiologists, vascular surgeons and radiologists who develop personalised treatment plans within a multidisciplinary framework.

Dedicated pre and post operative protocols and passionate nursing care provide continuity of care for patients and their families, and our physiotherapists, occupational therapists and podiatrists work collaboratively to coordinate, support and speed patient recovery.

At London Bridge Hospital, the vascular team regularly collaborate with colleagues from other fields of medicine such as cardiology, thoracic, endocrinology, liver and gastroenterology. This strong network means we’re extremely confident in developing robust care plans – and experienced in treating patients with the most complex of needs.
