About
Miss Bains is an expert in managing breast cancer and benign breast conditions and has a particular interest in oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as sarcoma management. Additionally, she has specialist training and experience delivering electrochemotherapy. She has specialised in oncoplastic breast surgery and was a national oncoplastic fellow for a year before her appointment as a consultant.
Miss Bains is devoted to her work as a surgeon and researcher, with many years of experience in both local and national trials. She also has an extensive background in breast cancer research, collaborating closely with the University of Birmingham. In addition to being awarded a PhD from King's College London for her research in this field, she has given numerous presentations at national and international conferences and published several papers on the subject.
Furthermore, she is passionate about medical education and takes an active role in teaching both undergraduates and postgraduates at the University of Birmingham (UoB). Additionally, she serves as a Personal Academic Tutor for UoB students studying medicine in their third through fifth years.
