Professor Gideon Lack is a Consultant Paediatric Allergist working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust and King’s College London as a Professor of Paediatric Allergy.
Professor Lack qualified from Medicine at Oxford University in 1985, and then completed specialist pediatric training in New York. He then specialized even further in Paediatric and Adult Allergy whilst training in Denver, Colorado.
Upon completion of his pediatric training, he was the Lead for the Department of Paediatric Allergy and Immunology for 12 years at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Then he began working at Imperial College London and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust from 2005 and 2006, respectively.
He enjoys undertaking research and he mainly looks into asthma, peanut and food allergies, anaphylaxis, and desensitizing vaccines.
