About
Dr. Mahshid Nickkho-Amiry is an esteemed Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She completed her medical degree at the University of Manchester in 2005, followed by her specialist training in the North West of England. She later became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and was awarded a PhD for her research work surrounding endometrial cancer from the University of Manchester. Dr. Nickkho-Amiry has numerous publications on topics ranging from menstrual disorders and endometrial polyps to fertility and endometrial cancer. She leads the Specialist Fertility Clinic, where she provides expert guidance to patients with fertility concerns, ovulation disorders, and other reproductive challenges. As the Lead Hysteroscopist, she is at the forefront of minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating various conditions. She also has expertise in gynaecological, pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound, and assessment of tubal patency through advanced techniques such as HyCoSy and saline infusion sonography. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and the Associate Undergraduate Tutor for Year 4 medical students.
