Professor Greg Shaw is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based in London, UK. Following his graduation from St Bartholomew's Medical College in 1999 he later discovered an interest prostate cancer whilst undertaking an MD research degree at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. This interest was further explored when he completed a 4 year Lectureship at The University of Cambridge working in a world class research team and generating important findings from his research.
He then began his specialist urologist training in North London where he was later awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, during his time at Cambridge he developed an interest in robotic surgery which was consolidated through his Fellowship.
Professor Shaw implements his scientific training to deliver the latest evidence regarding prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment to ensure the best care for his patients suspected of having or proven to have diagnosis of prostate cancer. His services include the investigation of common problems such as blood in the urine, difficulty in urination, raised PSA levels and urinary tract infections. He diagnoses and treats patients with prostate and bladder cancer, implementing a wide range of biopsy approaches including transperineal and MRI guided, to diagnose prostate cancer. He also performs benign prostate surgery and inguino-scrotal surgery.
